Comic Magician Jerry Frasier Makes a Splash at River City Racin’

Thousands of people from over 14 states and Canada converged on the towns of Chamberlain and Oacoma, South Dakota for the 3^rd Annual Pepsi Racing Power Cup Challenge presented by River City Racin’ in June, 2011.  Held on the beautiful and historic Missouri River, this is the only sanctioned hydroplane boat racing event in the upper Midwest.  Fans like to call it “NASCAR on the water.”  Boat pilots battled for points, purse money and pride as they raced some of the fastest and most exciting boats on the water.  The races have been featured on the speed channel and were podcasted all over the country. 

Race attendees also enjoyed great food, the Laker’s Car Club Mighty Mo Car Show, an outdoor concert, and multiple shows on the main stage from comic magician, Jerry Frasier.  “What a huge event on a perfect weekend.  Everybody came for a good time and they were not disappointed, with great entertainment from Jerry and intense boat racing.  We are already planning for next year,” said event director, Marty Michalek, pictured with Jerry.
