Xelias! Aerial Arts Studio Featured in Minneapolis Publication “Downtown Journal”

 Meg Elias-Emery and Xelias! Aerial Arts Studio were featured in the June 20, 2011 issue of Downtown Journal, a publication based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The Downtown Journal brings community news to its residents and spotlights interesting people and places in Downtown Minneapolis and the surrounding neighborhoods. 

Meg is the Founder and Director of Xelias! Aerial Arts Studio, where in addition to coaching aspiring aerialists, she creates performance pieces along with her aerial company members.  Meg grew up in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, and her career as an aerialist has brought her around the country.  She has performed on cruise ships and for corporate clients and at fairs, festivals, and theaters.  She spent three years traveling with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus where she met her husband Sean, and has participated in performance art experiences in New York City, San Francisco, and Minneapolis.  The studio trains aspiring cirque-style performers as well as performing with Xelias! and Cirko Cabaret.  Meg and Sean also teach circus arts athe University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater in the B.F.A. Actor Training Program.
