Stand-up Comedian Stevie Ray’s Talents Include Beekeeping

Many of you recognize Stevie Ray’s talent as a stand-up comedian, but did you know that Stevie is also a beekeeper and baker?

Stevie Ray started beekeeping over ten years ago when a friend introduced him to the hobby.   A lover of nature, Stevie found beekeeping to be a relaxing way to spend time outdoors. The local farmers in Inver Grove Heights sure appreciate his hives helping up their produce output too.  An avid baker, Stevie likes to use his own honey in his recipes. Steve’s Bees Minnesota Honey is a popular item at the Gourmet Oil and Vinegar store in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and his honey was recently featured in Sue Z’s Finds in the Minnesota Monthly.

Stevie’s homemade baklava (made with Steve’s Bees Minnesota Honey) won 3rd Place at the 2011 Minnesota State Fair.
