Possessing a type of comedy that has been received with tear-filled laughter and standing ovations from groups ranging from 3M to NFL
Charities, from colleges to casinos, from country clubs to county fairs, you will understand why Roger Radley has been the choice for groups and events for over 3500 performances.
Roger was born and raised in central Wisconsin and as a farm boy dreamed of the day he could be a comedian after seeing Jonathan Winters improvise on TV. Such dreams are best kept to oneself at those times and when farm chores called, you better listen. Roger then embarked on a college career focusing on Criminal Justice and Pre-Law studies. Fortunately for Roger (and the legal profession !) he never became a lawyer. Instead he worked as a vocational counselor and social worker while diligently honing his comedy chops and writing skills with theater groups and comedy troupes for several years.
Eventually Roger quit his “day job” and embarked on a career in entertainment. Winning national comedy contests and writing for other comedians expanded Roger’s experiences while he continued to sharpen and expand his own show. Based upon his life, Roger can share his experiences as a social worker, a construction worker, a farmer, an outdoorsman at home in the Canadian wilderness, onstage at sold out theater, or as a single-parent father, to present a performance that resonates with truth and an edge that possesses a rare energy and perspective.
Roger has performed from Honolulu to Atlantic City and has has appeared in commercials on both radio and TV. Small acting parts in small movies have not made Roger think he is a big shot but made him realize he loves performing comedy as he has for the past 29 years. Roger continues to live in his beloved Wisconsin where he cheers on his Packers, enjoys the occasional tailgate party, wonders when road construction will end, is always getting ready for “Deer Camp” while he waits for the next “big one” to strike when he fishing in his canoe.
