Cruise Ship Talent | G.L. Berg Entertainment

Cruise Ship Production Singers & Dancers

G.L. Berg Entertainment works directly with casting directors at major cruise lines to provide them with extremely talented individuals. Since 1989, G.L. Berg Entertainment has grown to become the largest entertainment provider in the Midwest, working with and representing professional-level talent on a national scale. Katie Partridge is the head of our cruise line division, where we work directly with casting directors to provide talent for major cruise lines. Katie performed for five years as the lead female production singer on multiple vessels, and has a vast knowledge of the cruise ship entertainment industry. She also has strong relationships with casting directors and the unique knowledge of what it takes to be a cruise ship performer. When you provide your audition materials to G.L. Berg Entertainment, you are auditioning for a spot on our roster of performers. We then work directly with casting directors when providing talent from our roster for their onboard shows, which are cast continuously throughout the year. Our performers are put at the forefront of the countless candidates that send in audition materials, and our agency will follow up on your behalf.

LIFE ONBOARD

These positions involve contracts that are typically 7 months long – 1 month of rehearsal on land, and 6 months performing at sea. While at sea, the talent will perform up to four separate 45-minute production shows, totaling approximately eight shows per week (this number varies by vessel). These shows are multi-million dollar productions with a cast of eight performers, using high-tech LED screen technology and special effects, performed in quality theaters with capacity of 1,000+ people. While onboard, the talent will be provided with room and board, including food, as well as medical insurance while under contract. The ships travel to a variety of destinations all over the world, including the Caribbean, Alaska, and many parts of Europe. Performers will also be required to attend rehearsals 2-3 times weekly, assist with costume maintenance including basic repairs and laundering, and actively participate in required shipboard trainings, safety drills, and meetings.

OTHER IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS

Performers who are offered contracts will need a passport that will remain valid through the end of the contract. Contract offers can come up with very short notice, so it is advised that performers obtain passports as soon as possible if they are seriously considering ship work. Once a contract is accepted by a performer, he or she will be required to obtain a full medical examination, including a drug test and blood work, prior to being allowed to start the contract. This expense will be the performer’s responsibility and must be completed in a timely fashion, or a contract offer could reach expiration.
