Christmas with The Memories
A Traditional Christmas Celebration
The Memories performed their first Christmas Concert at the Mabel Tainter Theater in Menomonie, WI in December 1986. That concert coincided with the release of the group’s very first recording of holiday music, “White Christmas”. Since that concert, they have continued the tradition every year and in December 2020 will be presenting their 35th Annual Christmas Shows at “The Mabel”.
In 1988, they took their Holiday show “on the road” for the first time, when the Lions Club in Amery, WI brought the group to perform for the community at the Amery School Gym. That led to many service groups, community theaters, concert associations, and other organizations hosting The Memories and their Holiday show across the Midwest in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Through the years, their concerts have featured traditional Christmas carols and favorite songs of the season. In addition to the group’s first Christmas Album in 1986, they have released six recordings of classic and familiar Christmas selections. Their most recent CD, “45” was recorded in 2017 and features their arrangements of “A Christmas Hallelujah”, and their very own “International Christmas Medley”.
