Robert and Deborah Carothers are the husband-wife musical duo known as “Silver Creek.” Performing an eclectic mix of classic rock, Motown, southern rock, country, oldies, and blues, Silver Creek appeals to an audience of all ages and diverse musical tastes. The act features the strong lead vocals of Robert and Deborah, as well as tight harmonies with a unique blend that comes from decades of singing together. Robert consistently wows the audience by playing several instruments throughout their shows including guitar, saxophone, flute, recorder, tin whistle, harmonica, and keyboards while Deborah plays rhythm guitar, keyboard and percussion. The act includes a large dose of musical artistry and showmanship, combined with energy, good vibes, and a dash of humor. Silver Creek typically performs with a rhythm section provided by its own musical tracks to obtain a full band sound, but can also perform acoustically without tracks for a more intimate setting.
The Carothers have opened for many national acts including B.J. Thomas, Bo Bice, Dave Mason, Nelson, Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, Poco, Judas Priest, Bucky Covington, the Michael Stanley Band and Sonny Geraci. During the 70s, Robert Carothers was the musical director and guitarist for internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Melanie of Woodstock fame (“Brand New Key”, “Look What They've Done to My Song.") In 2008 Deborah Carothers was named by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum as one of the Top Ten Professional Women Who Rock in Northeast Ohio.
