Mervant Vera is a Philadelphia-born magician, mentalist and musician whose signature blend of sleight‑of‑hand, mentalism, freestyle rap and storytelling has redefined what modern live entertainment looks like. Known nationally as “The Rapping Magician,” Mervant crafts high‑energy performances in which impossible sleights collide with rhythm, lyricism and personal empowerment, producing an experience critics have called “genius” and “boundary‑breaking”.

He first gained international attention during Season 17 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent in 2022. His audition combined magic and rap in a way the judges had never seen; Simon Cowell described it as “honestly incredible” and later compared Mervant to a “magical hip‑hop Tony Robbins”. Mervant advanced to the top‑five of his semifinal week and returned for AGT All‑Stars in 2023.

Prior to his AGT fame, Mervant spent over a decade honing his craft, performing hundreds of live shows across the East Coast and mastering the art of combining Mentalism with sleight‑of‑hand. During the pandemic he partnered with Airbnb’s Online Experiences, hosting more than 1,000 virtual shows, and he credits those sessions for refining his showmanship and ability to connect through a screen. His virtual “Broadway Online Experience” quickly became one of Airbnb’s toprated offerings and led to more than 850 performances .

In 2023 Mervant reached a major career milestone when he became a headliner in Las Vegas, appearing in America’s Got Talent Presents: Superstars Live at the Luxor Resort in which he was signed for a second year. In addition to nightly shows on the Strip he served as the Keynote Performer for BMW’s International Supplier & Diversity Exchange, using magic and spoken word to inspire more than 2,500 corporate delegates . Today he continues to develop his hybrid art form, performing at theaters, corporate galas, universities and cruise ships around the world while writing and producing original music.
