His entertainment journey began in 1983 when a college professor suggested he audition for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and write a research paper about his experience. Years ago and thousands of performances later, Kenny went on to perform for Ringling Brothers, as well as special performances for the White House, The Brooks and Dunn Neon Circus and Wild West Show tour, The World Expo in Aichi, Japan, and The China International Children Arts Festival in Taiwan. Kenny has performed in 12 foreign countries and every state except Hawaii and Alaska. Kenny has a BFA (Bachelor in Fun Arts) from Ringling Brothers and Barnum Clown College, and his professional study includes: Pavel Groditsky, The Soviet National School for the Circus and Variety Arts (movement workshop; Christopher Bayes, The Juilliard School (Physical Comedy Master Class); Bill Irwin, New York/The Actors Center(Physical Comedy Master Class); and Movement Theatre International, Philadelphia. The object of the game is to draw cards that add up to 21 or as close as possible without going over (bust). A blackjack is an Ace and any 10 value card on the first two cards dealt. Face cards are 10, Aces are 1 or 11, and all other cards are face value. You are able to split a natural pair and double down on 10 or 11. Baccarat The object is to wager on either the bank or the player. You, as a player, will never touch the cards or have an option of taking more cards. The dealer uses a shoe containing 8 decks of cards. The dealer pulls out 4 cards; 2 for the player, 2 for the banker. The object is to reach 9 or as close as possible. All 10 value cards equal zero. Red Dog A fast-paced game often called “Acey Deuccy” or “In Between.” To play, you simply place a bet on the betting square. The dealer will then deal two cards face up. The object is to have the third card fall in between the first two cards. If this happens you will win even money. Beat The Dealer Everyone can be involved in this game. Players place a bet before the game begins. The dealer has two dice that he/she rolls. If a 2 or 3 is rolled, all the players win. If a 12 is rolled all the players lose. If a 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11 is rolled, that becomes the point that each player has to try to beat by rolling the dice and getting a higher number than the dealer had. The odds pay even money or 2:1 if you roll doubles. Texas Hold’Em The dealer deals each player two cards face down, then deals five cards face down in the center of the table (used by all players). The players bet after seeing their two cards. The dealer will reveal three of the five center cards, and then the players may bet again. The dealer will reveal the other two cards with time for the players to bet in between. The winner is the player with the best five card poker hand. Let It Ride Poker game. Each person is dealt five cards. There are a series of three rounds and with each round the ability to switch out two cards. Chuck-A-Luck There are three dice involved that are in an hourglass-shaped cage. The players place bets on the table layout. The dealer flips the cage over and calls out the total of the dice. Payouts are determined based on the results of the dice. Pai Gow Poker The dealer will deal 7 cards to each player. The player’s object is to make the best two-card poker hand and the best five-card poker hand from the cards dealt. An auditorium stage or an extremely STABLE riser (riser being as large as possible) to accommodate 20 chairs in a semicircle. RISER MUST BE FLUSH AGAINST A WALL FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PARTICIPANTS. Purchaser shall also arrange audience seating so that the front row chairs begin approximately six feet from the stage unless show is performed in an auditorium or gymnasium. An EXCELLENT sound system that provides outstanding sound on the STAGE AREA. THIS IS CRITICAL. Audience response drowns out most verbal communication between the hypnotist and the subjects. Please do not assume that the sound system is strong enough to overpower hundreds of people laughing. Volunteers must hear the hypnotist CLEARLY. Thus, SPEAKER MONITORS ON STAGE WHICH FACE THE VOLUNTEERS ARE A MUST. If your auditorium is not fitted for monitor hook-ups, please be inventive. Almost always, a portable system with large speakers placed BEHIND the volunteers (facing the audience) can out power in-house systems. They also double as EXCELLENT monitors. TWO microphones are to be provided (a handheld cordless with a spare battery is great if available) making sure the cords are long enough, able to reach all chairs on stage easily. The second microphone will be used as a back up. However, the XLR or cable to the amplifier will be used as a second input for background music and special effects. Good stage lighting is important. Most auditoriums have acceptable lighting but please ensure the lights are properly aimed (and not burned out) to flood approximately the first 20 feet of the stage area. If the show is located where built-in lighting is not available, any additional lighting to augment the stage area is STRONGLY suggested. This will increase response of volunteers and provide for a much better show. A darkened banquet hall for example with lights on tripods (easily rented) will create a much better "nightclub" atmosphere and make for a better show. >> Sample Introduction The following is a sample introduction you might use when introducing Mind Games to your audience: “The host of tonight’s show – Jared Sherlock – is an award-winning entertainer and certified hypnotherapist who has been featured in The Wallstreet Journal Online, the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom radio show, and Campus Activities Magazine’s “Top Acts” for 2013!
