The object of the game is to draw cards that add up to 21 or as close as possible without going over (bust). A blackjack is an Ace and any 10 value card on the first two cards dealt. Face cards are 10, Aces are 1 or 11, and all other cards are face value. You are able to split a natural pair and double down on 10 or 11. Baccarat The object is to wager on either the bank or the player. You, as a player, will never touch the cards or have an option of taking more cards. The dealer uses a shoe containing 8 decks of cards. The dealer pulls out 4 cards; 2 for the player, 2 for the banker. The object is to reach 9 or as close as possible. All 10 value cards equal zero. Red Dog A fast-paced game often called “Acey Deuccy” or “In Between.” To play, you simply place a bet on the betting square. The dealer will then deal two cards face up. The object is to have the third card fall in between the first two cards. If this happens you will win even money. Beat The Dealer Everyone can be involved in this game. Players place a bet before the game begins. The dealer has two dice that he/she rolls. If a 2 or 3 is rolled, all the players win. If a 12 is rolled all the players lose. If a 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11 is rolled, that becomes the point that each player has to try to beat by rolling the dice and getting a higher number than the dealer had. The odds pay even money or 2:1 if you roll doubles. Texas Hold’Em The dealer deals each player two cards face down, then deals five cards face down in the center of the table (used by all players). The players bet after seeing their two cards. The dealer will reveal three of the five center cards, and then the players may bet again. The dealer will reveal the other two cards with time for the players to bet in between. The winner is the player with the best five card poker hand. Let It Ride Poker game. Each person is dealt five cards. There are a series of three rounds and with each round the ability to switch out two cards. Chuck-A-Luck There are three dice involved that are in an hourglass-shaped cage. The players place bets on the table layout. The dealer flips the cage over and calls out the total of the dice. Payouts are determined based on the results of the dice. Pai Gow Poker The dealer will deal 7 cards to each player. The player’s object is to make the best two-card poker hand and the best five-card poker hand from the cards dealt. You must beat both of the dealer’s hands to win even money and one to tie or push. >> Career Highlights >> Testimonials "I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for helping plan and execute a successful “casino-night” at our Holiday Party! It’s hard not to love the melodica when played by such a witty and adorable gal as Kate. This duo’s music is classy and sassy!” - Jill Hill, President NAN (Northeastern Arts Network) “Hard working award winners that have charm dripping off them...This is certainly an act you want to see live if they come your way.” -- Chris Spector, Midwest Record “One of my fortunate “discoveries” of navigating the pandemic was being introduced to Sundae and Mr. Goessl. I have presented them to a livestream audience, to a hybrid audience, and soon, to a full capacity audience. Kate and Jason are professionals in every sense and were able to adjust to anything I threw at them- including taking what was to have been a live show, and asking them to perform onstage, to an empty house and Livestream audience! It’s immediately apparent that Kate is a superb vocalist and that Jason is a virtuoso guitarist. But the sum total is so much more. Their chemistry onstage is charming and enjoyable and hearkens back to the great couples entertainers like Cash and Carter and Steve and Eydie. They are more than musicians—they’re entertainers, who capture the audience from the first moment and hold them. A performance is full of not only applause, but smiles and laughter. I’ve asked them to host our holiday show this season (live and livestream), for that very reason. The performance is fun. And we can all use some fun.” -- Joe Ferlo, Director at The Grand Oshkosh (WI) “The Musical Talents of Sundae & Mr. Goessl are in one simple term, ''Amazing ``! I have had them perform here at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center at least three times in the past few years. They are a perfectly matched Duo playing "Real Music" in today's world of so called "Music" which in many cases, is far from the definition of the true art form of music. Their presentation and musical abilities are few and far between on most stages today. I absolutely love what they do and how they do it. If you are looking for standard tunes of the 30's/40's and more, done in a "Super Tasteful" way.....look no further, you have found it in Sundae & Mr. Goessl. Melodies & Riffs....to Die For!” -- Neil Lang, Bldg. Mgr. They use both traditional and electric strings performing as a quartet with the full accompaniment of drums and guitar. The group is known for their eclectic renditions of everything from Guns N’ Roses “ Sweet Child O’ Mine ” to Taylor Swift’s “ Anti-Hero ” to their collaboration, “You Are The Reason,” with The Piano Guys. DSQ has performed for Presidents Obama and Bush, with superstars like Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs and Ashley McBryde, at the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards), for NBA and NFL organizations and their cover of Katy Perry’s “ Firework ” was featured on the most recent season of American Idol. In 2021, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton sought out DSQ as the entertainment for their private wedding and in Oct. 2022, their album “Love Always” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Chart (in both Classical Crossover Albums and Classical Albums). DSQ is also featured on the 2023 GRAMMY-nominated album, “The Passenger” by Cheryl B. Engelhardt. Dallas String Quartet exemplifies this.” - Vents Magazine “This track has this impeccable combination of sturdiness in its confident production but this almost free-flowing playfulness to the way they handle their violins like at any moment it could veer off into improvisation, but the group know exactly what they’re doing, leading you on with the (future) nostalgia that comes with the song.” - Vents Magazine “It’s not every day you get such a niche group that has tapped into the ability to make something feel so universal. Pop fans and classical instrumentalist fans and all of those in-between will find plenty to love here.” - Vents Magazine 2/16/21 “As the violinists of the Dallas String Quartet (DSQ), Melissa and Eleanor deliver not only sweeping sonic beauty, but also electrifying flair.” - Muzique Magazine 3/29/21 “It’s pieces like this that give us that poignant reminder that art matters, that our voices and the way musicians craft their songs is essential.” - Vents Magazine 9/8/21 “Dallas String Quartet leaps over boundaries and soars amongst the elite.
