- Jeff Kortes | G.L. Berg Entertainment
Employee Retention & Recruitment Jeff Kortes Employee Retention & Recruitment Download Media Kit [object Object] Jeff Kortes didn’t become an employee retention and recruitment speaker, author and expert by accident. His early career spanned 25 years as a human resource professional, trainer, and consultant. He has held leadership roles in companies such as ConAgra, Midas International, SPX, and Quaker Oats Company. After three facility closures, a strike and a corporate buyout, Jeff put all his experience together and started Human Asset Management, LLC, a multi-segment HR services firm. He has helped hundreds of first-line supervisors, managers, and executives with training in employee retention and engagement. His no-nonsense approach is reflected in his C.R.A.P. Leadership® System and Execution Focused Leadership® which instill positive supervisory and managerial behavior while driving results in the organization. He draws on his experiences as a human resources professional, father, coach, martial artist and U.S. Army veteran to provide thought-provoking programs that yield results. Keynotes: Give Your Employees C.R.A.P: The Success Formula for Building Employee Loyalty Why do some bosses have loyal staffs of long-term employees, while others are poster children for employee turnover? The answer is C.R.A.P. (Care, Respect, Apprecition, Praise)… and successful bosses know how to dish it out. Drawing on his extensive experience as a talent recruiter and HR leader, Jeff explains why some employees will run through a brick wall for their boss, while others would gladly throw their boss off a wall. Jeff’s lively, give-and-take program helps participants understand that the formula for employee loyalty is simple: Give Your Employees C.R.A.P.®. As a “headhunter” and human resources executive, he’s heard firsthand from candidates why bosses who give their people lots of C.R.A.P. can count on them when times get tough. Most importantly, participants leave with tangible ideas and action steps – ones they can implement immediately to strengthen employee loyalty and retention in their own organizations. Recruit to Win! Hiring and onboarding new workers isn’t cheap. By some estimates, upfront costs can equal one-half of their salaries. These financial facts make employee retention strategies smart business. Working as a “headhunter” for many years, Jeff learned how to find the often needle-in-a-haystack talent to move organizations forward. In “Recruit to Win,” Jeff provides a headhunter’s insight into building a comprehensive recruitment strategy. Through real-life stories and interactive participation, his “Recruit to Win” program helps you put the right pieces in place to systematically fill job openings. Jeff’s two programs on finding and hiring employees are filled with humor, real-life experiences … and very frank reality checks. >> Career Highlights >> Testimonials >> Basic Set-Up Needs >> Sample Introduction >> Pricing Information Download Rider

The object of the game is to draw cards that add up to 21 or as close as possible without going over (bust). A blackjack is an Ace and any 10 value card on the first two cards dealt. Face cards are 10, Aces are 1 or 11, and all other cards are face value. You are able to split a natural pair and double down on 10 or 11. Baccarat The object is to wager on either the bank or the player. You, as a player, will never touch the cards or have an option of taking more cards. The dealer uses a shoe containing 8 decks of cards. The dealer pulls out 4 cards; 2 for the player, 2 for the banker. The object is to reach 9 or as close as possible. All 10 value cards equal zero. Red Dog A fast-paced game often called “Acey Deuccy” or “In Between.” To play, you simply place a bet on the betting square. The dealer will then deal two cards face up. The object is to have the third card fall in between the first two cards. If this happens you will win even money. Beat The House Everyone can be involved in this game. Players place a bet before the game begins. The dealer has two dice that he/she rolls. If a 2 or 3 is rolled, all the players win. If a 12 is rolled all the players lose. If a 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11 is rolled, that becomes the point that each player has to try to beat by rolling the dice and getting a higher number than the dealer had. The odds pay even money or 2:1 if you roll doubles. Texas Hold’Em The dealer deals each player two cards face down, then deals five cards face down in the center of the table (used by all players). The players bet after seeing their two cards. The dealer will reveal three of the five center cards, and then the players may bet again. The dealer will reveal the other two cards with time for the players to bet in between. The winner is the player with the best five card poker hand. Let It Ride Poker game. Each person is dealt five cards. There are a series of three rounds and with each round the ability to switch out two cards. Chuck-A-Luck There are three dice involved that are in an hourglass-shaped cage. The players place bets on the table layout. The dealer flips the cage over and calls out the total of the dice. Payouts are determined based on the results of the dice. Pai Gow Poker The dealer will deal 7 cards to each player. The player’s object is to make the best two-card poker hand and the best five-card poker hand from the cards dealt. You must beat both of the dealer’s hands to win even money and one to tie or push. >> Career Highlights >> Testimonials "I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for helping plan and execute a successful “casino-night” at our Holiday Party!
